(pool noodles) Zach thinks it's stupid to buy fish at the grocery store so we're heading out to our local lake in Nashville TN (Old Hickory Lake ) to do some jug fishing for catfish. We're keeping it extra simple and cheap. Nothing but a pool noodle, fishing line, hook, weight and bait. We decided it would be cool to catch, clean and cook the catfish all on the boat so we have brought out the air fryer. Fried catfish on the boat, why not!?

This is Mary's first time ever hunting ever hunting wood ducks in the swamps of the south east while Zach is just getting back to his roots. We're having an end of season soiree! We're in the boot-heel of Missouri at Black Water Lodge with Mallard Bay and a host of friends. This camp is 3 days of waterfowl hunting, country music and incredible food! We're joined by Jon Langston, Kameron Marlowe, Styles Haury, Meghan Patrick and Kasey Tyndall who are hunting and entertaining the camp! Every now and then you have some files that slip through the cracks and get lost on hard drives long forgotten. This week Zach and Mary have discovered one of those old gems! This is from the end of their 2021 Turkey Season. They had just gone through a fire where we lost most of their belongings. Their family, friends, hunting community and Hulett Wyoming really picked them up in a hard time. They pushed through and made some incredible memories with friends! From Mitch Petrie's muzzle loader long beard to a western rope and drag branding and Dylan Marlow eating calf nuts.... What a time!

South Dakota Antelope Hunt turned Dove Hunt

Zach and Mary (and Forrest) are back on the road for the first time since having their baby girl. They have gone to visit their friends Corey and Foster in South Dakota and Mary has an antelope tag in her pocket! This trip is a good example of always have a plan b and always be willing to pivot to have some fun! When given the chance to go dove hunt with World Champion Trapshooter, Foster Bartholow Mary ditched the antelope and picked up a shotgun. South Dakota never disappoints and we couldn't think of a better way to kick off the fall hunting season.

"Mary was successful on the first day of her Australian Red Stag hunt leaving me (Zach) with full days to try for one with my bow! I have never hunted red deer before but have always wanted to so this is a bucket lister for sure! If you'd of told 16 year old me that I'd hunt in Australia one day, well I would been fired up! While we were out hunting a big storm came through and washed the creek out. Now that I'm old and wise I made the responsible decision and went to the local pub for a couple hours to let the water recede. If you've never had the opportunity to spend time in a rural Australian Pub you are missing out! We had an amazing time archery hunting in Queensland and are already planning our next trip back!"

A Day in the Life of an Australian Buffalo Guide

At the end of our trip to Australia, we extended our stay to spend one wild day with Karl Goodhand, one of the most experienced buffalo guides in the Northern Territory. Karl runs Goodhand Experiences and has spent years guiding hunters deep into Arnhem Land, chasing Banteng and Water Buffalo in some of the most remote and unforgiving landscapes on earth. This wasn't your average adventure. With two helicopters loaded up, we flew into the heart of Australia's Top End, surrounded by wetlands, floodplains, and endless wild country. Along the way, we discovered the history of how these tough animals — around 80 buffalo brought over in the 1800s — adapted and thrived across Northern Australia. From the thrill of the hunt to the sheer scale of the Outback, this is what a “normal Tuesday” looks like for Karl... but for us, it was the experience of a lifetime.
