JUG FISHING - Catfish Fry on the Boat

Nothin' Fancy Catfish Jugs! (pool noodles) Zach thinks it's stupid to buy fish at the grocery store so we're heading out to our local lake in Nashville TN (Old Hickory Lake ) to do some jug fishing for catfish. We're keeping it extra simple and cheap. Nothing but a pool noodle, fishing line, hook, weight and bait. We decided it would be cool to catch, clean and cook the catfish all on the boat so we have brought out the air fryer. Fried catfish on the boat, why not!?

It's CMA week in Nashville and Country Outdoors and good friend Jared Mullins are teaming up to raise money for Catch-A-Dream Foundation. We're the first annual Wild Game Cook-Off with celebrity guest chefs and judges. Traeger has sent the grills and Mossy Oak Butcheries has sent the meats! Zach and Mary are headed to one of their all-time favorite locations… the Wappaoolah Plantation! This is Mary's first time ever hunting ever hunting wood ducks in the swamps of the south east while Zach is just getting back to his roots. After the hunt the crew is packing pavement down to Tampa Florida for the RV Super Show. We're having an end of season soiree! We're in the boot-heel of Missouri at Black Water Lodge with Mallard Bay and a host of friends. This camp is 3 days of waterfowl hunting, country music and incredible food! Every now and then you have some files that slip through the cracks and get lost on hard drives long forgotten. This week Zach and Mary have discovered one of those old gems! This is from the end of their 2021 Turkey Season. They had just gone through a fire where we lost most of their belongings. Their family, friends, hunting community and Hulett Wyoming really picked them up in a hard time. They pushed through and made some incredible memories with friends! From Mitch Petrie's muzzle loader long beard to a western rope and drag branding and Dylan Marlow eating calf nuts.... What a time!

South Dakota Antelope Hunt turned Dove Hunt

Zach and Mary (and Forrest) are back on the road for the first time since having their baby girl. They have gone to visit their friends Corey and Foster in South Dakota and Mary has an antelope tag in her pocket! This trip is a good example of always have a plan b and always be willing to pivot to have some fun! When given the chance to go dove hunt with World Champion Trapshooter, Foster Bartholow Mary ditched the antelope and picked up a shotgun. South Dakota never disappoints and we couldn't think of a better way to kick off the fall hunting season.
